3 Legs Good, Armageddon Bad

On August 1st, over 80 people were arrested at Faslane submarine base for blocking access to it for several hours. Dozens of people, including Buddhist monks and nuns, had walked there from Aldermaston on a Peace March. A 20-foot tripod, housing two people, kept the South Gate blocked all day and into the evening.

Meanwhile at Coulport base, a few miles away, activists from the Trident Ploughshares two-week summer camp climbed and cut the fences. Three women sat for six hours on top of Coulport's main gate while two others swam two miles down the loch to within yards of trident.

Trident Ploughshares activists have been found “not guilty” by juries for openly and accountably trashing Trident property.
