Beal Valley

In Beal Valley, near Oldham in Lancashire, the council and Casey’s Ltd. (a landfill contractor) are planning to dump all the spoil from the construction of the M66, as well as some industrial waste, there and cover it with a golf course. A local campaign has started and on Sunday 9th June there will be a nature ramble to help people to get to know the local ecology better. Meeting point is the Duke of York pub, Heyside at 10.00am.
