Sciences. In early September a coalition of animal liberation protesters bought Shell Oil’s Stanlow refinery in Cheshire to a halt. From 5:30am lines of people blocked all roads in and out of the site, locked to each other and to concrete-filled oil drums to stop the police from moving them.
