HLS National Action
About 200 people arrived at Diss train station, Suffolk on March 4th for a demo at HLS Occold. With Suffolk and Norfolk police on alert the demo swiftly moved to Cambridge. Result: only 20 cops at HLS Huntingdon in Cambridge and much confusion. Workers were greeted and a ‘Smash HLS’ banner hung.
The crowd then moved to Aventis (customers of HLS). For the first hour only one cop was present, then 15 vans and a helicopter turned up. Until then security was non-existent except for a few cameras and a good run around the site was had! Interfauna, which supplies rats to HLS, was also visited. A top cop baffling day with no reported arrests.
