Casual Deaths

On 7th December work stopped on the Sir Robert McAlpine job in Bishopsgate, London as over 100 construction workers attended a mass meeting outside the site where Vincent Dooley lost his life in a fall. The Construction Safety Campaign (CSC) is calling for an end to the slaughter that is currently occurring on Britain's building sites (nearly twice as many as last year). They plan a day of action on the 27th February to coincide with the planned government health and safety crisis in construction conference, to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre, opposite the Houses of Parliament.
