Edinburgh Reclaimed
The midsummer street party in Edinburgh was a huge success. Over 1000 people reclaimed the streets all over the city centre for 4 hours on 17 June, with only 1 or 2 arrests. Despite press rants against the event, police horses and vans, people took over Princess Street, the mam road. Drummers and a pedal-powered sound-system played, a giant puppet cavorted, and there was dancing in the streets.
