Nuke Convoy Stopped

Eight protestors were arrested after halting a convoy carrying Trident nuclear warheads going to the nuclear submarine base at Faslane on the Clyde. Two people locked on, while another painted “illegal” on the side of the lorry in 2-foot high letters, and decorated the windscreen. The 8 were later released without charge. The convoy was delayed for up to 3 hours at considerable cost to the Ministry of Defence.
