- Campaigners in Essex are stepping up efforts to save a great crested newt habitat from commercial development after last week 10 000 of the remaining national population of 30 000 Great Crested Newts were destroyed following translocation by a housing developer in Peterborough. The developers are Countryside Residential in Brentwood. A camp has been set up in Hockley in resistance to this and welcomes help.. Site mobile: 07979 716344

- !eco faeries! is a new network of activists who aim to directly challenge homophobes and also to target queer capitalists. The network has info and resources, and hopes to see autonomous and co-ordinated actions. !eco faeries! is for queers of all sexualities and has activists across Britain, Belgium and Germany. Coming out of the EF! They state that biotechnology is vital to business success, and those "self-appointed guardians of the environment" who are uprooting crops are also endangering the growth of business itself. - On September 15th A woman was arrested after graffiting the House of Commons "to draw attention to several crimes against humanity the government is colluding with". In black gloss paint she wrote: 'No Star Wars', 'Ban Trident' and 'Ban Depleted Uranium Weapons'. She started to write 'Lift Sanctions against Iraq - They are Killing Children' but was arrested before she finished.
