People from the URGENT network visited their arch-enemies the House Builders Federation at their Annual Golf Tournament.

They erected a low-impact eco-dwelling at the 18th hole in a playful protest at the massive urbanisation of the countryside being carried out by members of the house building lobby group. The action was in solidarity with local campaigns against inappropriate housing developments across the country and is the first of a new wave of national protest against house builders to be carried out by affiliate groups of URGENT.

A spokesperson for the group said: "It is clear that the House Builders Federation and their friends are determined to profit from rapid private development of vast tracts of land whatever the social and environmental costs." Contact Urgent for more details.
