News From The Protest Camps

The Spinney camp on the proposed route of the at Birmingham Northern Relief Road is still going, against the 'new M6' that's going to wend its way through the midlands countryside. Demolition work started on some houses on route but has not been resisted. 07931 161761

Arthur's Wood and Cedar Wood camps are part of the continued resistance to the second runway at Manchester Airport , protecting the woods which the airport wants to chop as it would interfere with their radar. They have succeeded in appealing the eviction order as far as the House of Lords, but need to raise £1000 in order to present their case.

There will be a mass trespass on June 13th along the route of the Avon Ring Road south of Bristol. The road will destroy part of the flagship Bristol and Bath cycleway as well as woods, etc. For the mass trespass, catch bus 48/49 from Bristol. Get off at Sainsburies, turn right and walk downhill. Bring costumes, banners, instruments
