Another German Nuclear Protest
From May 13-15, the German Anti-nuclear movement will have a camp near the Greifswald nuclear power station. This plant in the North of East Germany is destined to be used a temporary nuclear waste depot, after the protests in Ahaus and Gorleben have made it virtually impossible to get any Castor-transports near those two sites without provoking a state of emergency. The government is hoping for an easier game in the economically depressed East, but opposition is alive and alert. Contact Burgerinitiative Greifswald, +49 (0)3834 594876; bigreifswald@topmail.de
* A20 - NEIN DANKE Another camp on the German coast of the Baltic Sea will be held from May 21 - 24, on the route of the soon to be built A20 Motorway in Northern Germany. One of the first construction sites is very close, and an RTS is planned for the weekend. The organisers offer to refund 50% travel cost.
