Start 'em Young!

Kids and parents of Chevassut primary school in Hulme, Manchester, have taken to direct action after a Secretary of State decision to close the school was made on Tuesday 16th March. The following morning, pupils, teachers and parents jointly blocked the road past the school for an hour before school started. The same action had taken place the Monday before, this time including a tripod and other local residents. Police were present but their instructions to clear the road were ignored. Subsequently it was decided by those involved to continue with the early morning blockades until the future of the school is secured.
