Earth First! National Projects

Last month saw three meetings to plan EF! national projects; an outreach project, a Summer gathering and a national campaign / series of actions. The following is a brief report on the upshot of these meetings.

Outreach Project

The 'Blatant Incitement Collective' (working title, formerly known as Not the Earth First! Roadshow) now exists 'to empower people to organise themselves without hierarchy, for radical action towards social ecological change, by sharing skills, knowledge and inspiration.' So far things such as direct action and climbing workshops, slideshows on radical cultivation and garden squatting, and earth education for kids, are looking likely. National Actions

The chosen target is Tarmac with the first action to be held on the 17th of July this year. Contact Norfolk EF! See contacts list.

Summer Gathering

This meeting was attended by only 3 people, none of whom were willing to commit to anything more than a peripheral role. A further meeting will take place on April 11th in Leeds, to coincide with the EF!AU weekend. If there is no further interest then there will be no gathering this year.
