121 Centre Update

The 121 centre is still there after 18 years of squatting and almost 60 days of having been barricaded to resist the imminent eviction. Parties, a weekly cafe, meetings and video nights are still held. Action has been taken outside the centre with an occupation of the office of the head of Lambeth Council, a cafe on the High Street and a public Drink-In in defiance of a newly imposed ban on drinking in public for Brixton.

On April 10th at 2pm the action will be stepped up further with a Brixton Street Party for which many hands are needed in preparation and on the day.

Help is greatly appreciated from anyone who can spare a few hours or days to help with the day to day running of the centre, and to sit in the building so it's not empty when the coppers turn up.
