Radstock Railway Campaign

The protest camp at Radstock, near Frome in Somerset, has been served an eviction order as of October 7th. The eviction is expected to follow fairly soon.

The campaign aims to stop Beazer Homes from building 5 high-cost houses on a green open space which local people want kept that way. But it is suffering from the shortage of activists which seems to be becoming the norm on protest camps. As one activist noted, 'With more activists and local support we could win. Motivating the general public is a challenge'.
