Not A Lott-ments

Allotments are the next target for development in many towns that are paying lip service to not developing greenfield sites. Local councils have recently been given power to dispose of them, though central government managed to ditch over 53 in the last year. Railtrack issued eviction orders for all their allotment sites, but withdrew after protest. At the end of the enclosure movement, around the 1850s, the sop of allotments on crappy land was given to shut up the 'working man'. Resist enclosure! Contact TLIO.
