Ukranian Rainbow Keepers

Members of Rainbow Keepers and Tira Nigra were regularly terrorized by Ukrainian Security Service (USS, the former Ukrainian KGB) while attempting to organize actions against the recent Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Kiev. USS officers threatened to use physical violence against anybody participating in actions. Eventually, after a banner and leaflet action, 5 activists were arrested without a warrant and sentenced to several days in jail, where they went on hunger strike against their treatment.
