Beal Valley Home Visit

On Saturday 25th April Oldham EF! activists, including 3 children, descended on the home of Peter Casey of Casey Construction Group, contractors for the landfill project in the Beal Valley. Parkpit Landfill is planning to first create a toxic waste dump and then turn it into a golf course. A campaign against these proposals is ongoing - activists have already invaded council meetings and blockaded the site before this most recent visit to the contractor's home.

The entrance to Casey's "Mansion" was blockaded until he came out to see what the commotion was. When he went back to his house everyone went for a walk in his garden. More Beal Valley actions are planned for the future (see Events). Contact Oldham EF! 0161 628 5128.
