West Country Gets It Together

On 21st February around 150 people attended the West Country Activist Gathering. The day started with introductions to campaigns going on in the south west, ranging from anti-quarrying to Zapatista support. Four sets of workshops in the afternoon covered Building the West Country Activist Network; Environmental Ploughshares; The Land Is Ours; and a workshop on general issues arising from local direct action. The aim of the gathering was to bring together campaigners in the west to create a stronger support network.
