Shotgun Madness
On the 6th of December, 5 Finnish ALF activists targeted a fur farm in an attempt to spray the farmed foxes with an harmless Henna dye. This was the fourth time the farm had been visited. The alarm system woke up the farmer who ran after them with a shotgun. Three of them were shot, Elina Salonen was hit in her lower back, Joni Pumonen was hit five times on his arms and legs and Jani Seppala was hit 9 times, one of them piercing his lungs. They all escaped in a car but were arrested by the police and were consequently taken to hospital. The farmer, Markku Kuisma was arrested for 'aggravated assault' (not attempted murder). The five were charged under 'aggravated breach of the peace' and were remanded for three days. Elina hasn't been released yet after four weeks and is on hunger stike.
