Kingston Making Waves
Making Waves, formerly known as the Sea Sabs, charted up the river Thames to appear at the camp at Kingston in West London. A railway bridge spanning the Thames was the first target - a 'Save Our Trees' banner was suspended with two abseilers dropping into a boat waiting underneath. The police arrived in a total of seven cars and started chasing the boat up the river.
Making Waves supported the Kingston camp again when four activists and Father Christmas scaled the front door of the Lib Dem HQ in Westminster to drop a 'Trees not Sleaze' banner. The trees that Making Waves were referring to are being cut to provide views of the river for a housing development. Contact the camp on 0181 287 3118 or Making Waves on 01404 81100.
