Video Power!

Remember 'Earth First arrival at Kings Cross?' in a recent edition of the Action Update? The story referred to proposals to develop Copenhagen Park, one of the precious few remaining green spaces in London. Campaigners put together a video letter to show to the Islington and Hackney council Planning and Development meeting which was supposed to discuss the proposals. The video letter was delivered by local residents and the council watched in disbelief. So moved by the residents' testimonies were they that the majority of councillors abstained in the vote whilst the remaining two voted against the planning proposal. Copenhagen Park lives to bud again another spring!!!
