GANDALF Trial

The trial of editors from Green Anarchist magazine and Animal Liberation Front activists at Portsmouth Crown Court is due to come to an end soon with summing up imminent and the verdict expected around November 10th. The Judge has already declared that he considers the defendants guilty, whilst a juror who declared that he knew someone who wrote a report being used as evidence has not been dismissed. Supporters of the defendants are planning to burn an effigy of the Judge outside the court house to commemorate Guy Fawkes Night - an act as contemptible of the court as the Green Anarchist's three page update of the trial in their paper. The published update was ignored by the Judge in the trial, which has already cost £3million. Green Anarchist has declared that whatever the trial outcome the paper will still be published.
