Global Actions Against Genetix
It's time to get active! Be creative, be strong, be loud. The future of Genetic Manipulation is at stake and these are the most crucial days. Governments, corporations, food retailers, supermarkets, farmers and investors are all wobbling over what line and direction they should take. They need to receive a very clear message: We do not want or need Genetic Manipulation on this planet. From October 2nd (Ghandi's birthday) to October 16th (World Food Day) people and organisations all over the world will be taking action against Genetix and in support of sustainable, organic agriculture. Simultaneous protests, press conferences and public events will take place at supermarkets, offices, labs, fields, and research centres. Actions are planned in India, America and other countries in Europe so lets get it together here in the Britain.
If international resistance aginst Genetix continues to grow, grassroots organisations could win this major battle against the multinationals and and stop this new, non-sustainable technology before it wreaks havoc on the environment, the food chain, public health, and rural and traditional communities.
