Wakefield Toxic Waste Tip

Planning application is underway for Europe’s biggest toxic waste dump on the only remaining greenfield site in Newland. The company is Metroland Developments Ltd. The proposed site would place the tip on 3 geographical faults and above a disused mine workings that leads to a fragile water table.
