Quarry Road Protest

At the beginning of July Avon and Somerset police were surprised to stumble on an anti-road and quarry camp complete with treehouses, tunnels and walkways. The camp, on the route of the proposed Bulls Green Link Road, is half way between the infamous Whatley Quarry and the 6000 year old Asham Wood. A mixture of local people and veteran activists have now set up a further 2 camps and more are planned.

People are welcome to join the protest - the main camp is at Dead Woman’s Bottom in Chantry. Ground rules - no drink, no dogs. Contact: 01749 880144.
