Basque Country Resistance

The 8 activists who sabotaged the construction of the Itoiz dam in Navarra, Spain last year have been taken to court again. They were originally released due to massive demonstrations and international solidarity. However the new conservative government has decided to restart construction of the dam and to punish the activists. The regional government and constructors were asking for 3 years imprisonment but the Spanish government for 19 years. Dani Untziti is still in prison although he didn’t take part in the action, but was involved in the campaign against the dam and is insumiso (refuses military service).
