Earth First! Summer Gathering

As you should know the Earth First! Summer Gathering is from Wednesday 9th - Tuesday 15th July this year. It starts first thing on the Wednesday morning so make sure you arrive during the day on Tuesday 8th. There will be workshops on various subjects, both talks and physical skills training sessions. More importantly there will be large discussions that will hopefully address some of the issues that we as a movement need to deal with.

The Gathering is one of the few opportunities that we have to come together and talk about these things and it is chance that we must make the most of. To do this it would be useful if people could start thinking of some of the things that need to be discussed. These include what has happened over the last year, which parts of it have been good and bad, what we want and how then to go about getting it.

Organic vegan food will be available all week for roughly £2.50 per day. There is no space for live-in vehicles so please do not bring them. Remember - no dogs, press, cameras or recording equipment and bring £10 to cover the costs of putting on the Gathering. The parking area is off site and once you leave your vehicle it will not be possible to move it until you leave, so make sure you bring everything you need for the whole week.

For details of where it is, and a map of how to get there, send an SAE to: Earth First! Summer Gathering, c/o 16 Sholebroke Avenue, Chapeltown, Leeds, LS7 3HB. Telephone: 0113 262 9365.
