A55 Update

The public enquiry began on Tuesday 18th for the second stage of the scheme at Holyhead. This was well attended by a good sized gathering of protesters who made lots of noise, roof-top protests, plenty of banners, a dancing dragon(!?) and fire breathing. Several police were called in but no arrests were made. A particular highlight of the day was the provision of a free min -bus by Mott MacDonald to take pro-road lobbyists from local villages along the route to the enquiry. This was noticeably unused.
