And you thought school was a repressive means of social control, forced by the state onto resisting children refusing to acquiesce to the domestication of the human species. Well, it is actually, but we thought you may be amused and impressed by this article in a newspaper a few weeks back. It reads: ‘Two children vandalised nineteen cars after a lesson at school about the dangers of air pollution. They used stones to scratch Porsches, Mercedes and BMW’s in an underground car park at a block of flats in Kensington, causing £15,000 worth of damage. A police source said: “It seems the nine year old girl was enlightened by a teacher on the menace of the car. Later as she and her eleven year old friend were playing in the car park she told him exhaust fumes were damaging the environment and they hatched a plot to exact their revenge.” Police cannot take action against the girl as she is under the age of criminal responsibility.’
