Revolutionary Money Defacement League

Further to the mention in the last Action Update of a new campaign starting up, this month we have had our first communique from them. It reads: ‘The Big Green Gathering saw the emergence of a new ReMeDiaL (Revolutionary Money Defacement League) class. This poetic pressure group made up of self styled human beings have constructed a ramshackle collection of sentence structures designed to provoke thought, discourse, laughter, happiness and the joyous destruction of the industrial capitalist society that oppresses and destroys beauty wherever it finds it. In order to have the biggest effect with the least effort, and to strike at the belly of the beast, the group has decided to use the machines lifeblood of paper money as a billboard for thoughts, ideas and feelings that are subversive to this life-denying society.’

As they say, ‘Our pens shall not rest until happiness is common currency.’ Their suggestions for slogans to write on the money include: ‘Turn your life into a counterfriction to stop the machine.’ ‘People need to rediscover their ability to have fun outside of consumption’. ‘Let us hope for total economic collapse before total biological collapse.’ Reclaim your pens and start scrawling!
