Farnborough

On Monday 2nd September, at the Farnborough Airshow, two women were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a Hawk Jet by throwing red paint over it. Both British Aerospace and the MoD denied the incident had taken place and it was left to the Charge Sergeant at Aldershot police station to confirm that the women had actually been arrested. He had obviously not been informed in time that the whole thing should be hushed, so as to avoid even further embarrassment to BAe, still recovering from the ‘Seeds of Hope’ court case.

Outside the airshow there were around forty arrests during a protest against militarisation. On Nov. 5th there are to be further actions at the COPEX Arms Fair.
