EF! Gathering - Newbury

There was supposed to be a National EF! gathering on the weekend of the 22nd- 24th March. Due to the main organiser disappearing (nothing sinister though) this had to be seriously scaled down, leaving many people disappointed. All was not lost as it was Newbury, where there was lots to be done as always. Also on the Sunday a planning meeting for the BIG Summer gathering for the 12th- 18th June took place. By the end of the afternoon it was already looking good with many people volunteering to help out.

Just to say on the subject briefly that it is probably a good idea not to call an action/gathering ‘National’ unless it had been a decision made by many groups together. That way you will know there are lots of people committed to making it a success/happen. When one person has all the responsibility it can be (and usually is) a little too much and things may not happen thus putting people off attending future well organised events / actions.
