Ashton Court Action

On February 19th, 50 people gathered for an action at Durnford Quarry, Ashton Court, Bristol. Pioneer Aggregates, the owners of the Quarry feared a re-run of December’s Whatley Quarry festivities. £10’s of thousands were spent on new security fencing around the site. A hundred cops and private security were present preventing mass invasion. There were two arrests, but no charges. Little work could be done. A decision on the expansion of the quarry will be made soon.
