Supporters of the Campaign Against The Arms Trade (CAAT) are being sued for libel by COPEX International Ltd. who organise the ‘Covert Operational Procurement Exhibition’. They have now issued a writ naming eight people whose names appeared in the CAAT newsletter. A number of people who wrote to the manager at Sandown about COPEX have also been issued with writs.

The exhibitors at COPEX include companies supplying riot control, counter insurgence equipment and public order weapons to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka etc. This libel has implications for every campaigning organisation that uses letter writing!! 0171 281 0297.
