Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, was jailed for 30 days during an attempt to stop illegal fishing of North Atlantic Cod. The Sea Shepherd crew doused the decks of the trawler with a foul smelling stink bomb, forcing the ship to halt it's fishing activities.
The BBC has decided not to allow high profile Indian environmental campaigner, Vandana Shiva to speak on Radio 4. The interview was cancelled after concerns that her outspoken opposition to fast food chains in India may result in a libel case being brought against the BBC. A Kentucky Fried Chicken Store in India was burnt to the ground in Bangalore by farmers.
A German Court in the city of Kassel has ruled that McDonalds have to pay an anti rubbish tax, McDonalds have said this will take 80% of their profits and are threatening to close down!

Cardiff EF! managed 3 actions against the Newbury Bypass on Jan. 26th. Having invaded the site of the Cardiff Bay Barrage, they informed Costain's chief engineer they were looking for appropriate sites for people bailed off the Newbury route. They then occupied Costain's offices 3 miles away, only to find Mott McDonald's were next door!
