The Land Is Ours

On October 7 and 8, The Land is Ours staged ‘D-Day landings’ in Oxford. Land annexed by Magdalen College was invaded by punts and rowing boats and reclaimed for public use. The demonstration was in protest at the college, which in the 1970’s cut the route in two by building a moat across the water meadows.
