Leeds Open Cast

The campaign against opencast mining in West Yorkshire is continuing. It is suspected that Rackwood Colliery Company are planning to start work soon since there are also proposals to build a motorway over the site once it has been mined. During recent actions the treehouses in Hawk’s Nest Wood, Garforth, have been destroyed and only one remains. Much more help is needed. Contact Cornerstone on 0113 2629365.
