A Win In Windsor
Twenty oaks will be saved after The Crown Estate reconsidered their plans to destroy the trees in Windsor Great Park. 48 other oaks and 105 young lime trees will be replanted. Protesters have been occupying the site for the past three months. This victory clearly highlights the effectiveness of direct action and that our actions can have an effect on the future. There is some unhappiness as the Estate fails to say exactly how many lime trees will be felled. Protesters now want assurance that these trees will be allowed to live out their natural lives. 041 518699 / 01635 521770
