Selar Farm Nature Reserve
The protesters at Selar Farm, fighting the proposed open cast site in Cwmgwrach, South Wales are preparing for battle against a possible eviction from September 1st. This is the date the nesting season ends and Celtic Energy can 'legally' cut down the oaks (also the eviction order runs out in mid Sept.). Strangers have been snooping with cameras on the ground and in the trees - they claimed to be ‘bat experts’ and were escorted from the site.
A possibly greater battle with the elements approaches; the camp is being made water proof for the winter, log cabins and pathways under construction. Local support continues.
