Reclaim The Streets

Not content with the massive Reclaim the Streets on the 23rd of July, RTS staged another action just over a week later. Arriving in rush hour at 7am 100 activists armed with 20 foot tripods blocked a major road passing through Greenwich. Up until this action most RTS/ Critical Mass’s have been either at the weekend or when people have been travelling back from work. The action was successful and lasted all through rush hour. Five days later in Birmingham 150 pedestrians swarmed onto the street. Skips were placed across the road and while horns beeped, bands played and kids frolicked in the newly established beach and paddling pool.
