On 2nd August, demolition contractors (one firm involved is Hughes of Portsmouth 01705 671671) moved in to destroy 5 buildings on the road route. Local people attempted to stop the work, resulting in one arrest for “Aggravated trespass”. However with the help of large numbers of police, all five buildings were destroyed.

ACTIVISTS ARE NEEDED NOW!!! Although main work is not expected to begin for a few months, it is probable that all valuable things on route will be destroyed before the E.C. can hear the pending complaints. Mott McDonald look set to be the consultant engineers supervising this trashing.
