Free Tahiti - Nuke Chirac!

As well as Greenpeace's actions, protests against French nuke testing are spreading around the world. In Tahiti protesters have invaded French Government buildings and are, at the time of writing, occupying and blocking the main road on the island. The protesters have been attacked by French riot police. Protests against Nuke testing have given the islanders' struggle for independence from French colonial rule a boost. Meanwhile 200 activists blockaded the main bridge across the Seine in Paris. Also a French airliner was hijacked halfway to Spain and taken to Switzerland.
