The route of the proposed M4 Relief Road, S. Wales has just been announced. This bypass, to the south of Newport, will bypass the third bypass, which bypassed the second bypass, which bypassed the first bypass, which bypassed the town centre. The only people who have gained in Newport are the construction companies, the car manufacturers and pro roads lobbies like the AA. The people and the environment lose.
