Wells Relief Road

Preparatory work on the Wells “Relief” Road has begun although the main contract won’t be signed until July 1st. Dodgy “archaeological survey work” (i.e. digging up a wildflower field) was stopped by E.F!ers on June 8th, and a camp was set up. Numbers are low but support is building after a town poll showed a majority of people oppose the scheme, which also goes through 2 school playing fields. The camp has since been illegally evicted but there's lots more to come! On July 3rd there is a day of action (the first day of the main contract), meet 7am at the old railway bridge at Dulcote.
