Free East Timor
It is estimated that approximately 30% of East Timor’s population has been murdered during the Indonesian occupation. Britain continues to arm the occupying forces. Following a successful action at British Aerospace Engineering’s AGM, June 10th is a day of action against BAe who are planning to sell Hawk aircraft to the Indonesian military. Hawks sold in previous deals have been seen in use against civilians in East Timor. There are actions in some parts of the country - if there isn’t one near you why not organise a “visit” to the nearest BAe site? Also on June 10th, an action is planned in Coventry against Alvis who are supplying tanks to Indonesia. Contacts: Stop the Hawks, 88 Islington High St, London N1. Tel 0171 561 1236 / 0161 8340295.
