On October 19th, the reconvened Parliament will sit to debate the Criminal Justice Bill. There will be rhetoric, but no real opposition, from Labour. There will be active support from the Liberal Democrats and backbench Tories. We must assume it will pass unscathed.

As far as it affects Earth First!ers (and let’s not forget, it manages to mangle pretty much every one else's civil rights), it’s purpose is not so much to imprison us as to intimidate us - and we mustn’t let that work. We may have little to fear - except fear itself. Even if they are after us, let the bastards come and get us!

So, Forgive Us Our Trespasses has been working through the Freedom Network with an immense range of groups to get together a series of high profile and utterly illegal actions from Day 1 of the Criminal Injustice Act (CIA). On the first day, there will be an action at the M11. This will be rapid response stuff. You too will be able to say to generations to come that you were up a crane the day the CIA came to town.

Starting 5th Nov, there will be a week of actions, each one highlighting a different aspect of the Bill. These will include legislation busting acts from the likes of CND, Advance Party, Outrage, Hunt Sabs, and all your other favourite regular NVDA merchants.

So watch the news, and prepare to drop everything to make your position clear - no compromise! Even if you feel unhappy about facing criminal charges, please try to come and support us. However, if you can risk arrest, then be open about your actions and refuse to pay the fines. We anticipate that you will be in good company, should you find yourself in prison.
