British Aerospace In Court
Back in February about 20 people descended on the BAe Warton factory (just up the road from Preston) for an afternoon of cold, snow and protest.
Six people entered the factory, 4 of whom have since been charged. Rachel, Michael, Kate and Chris have been jointly charged with intent to cause criminal damage. The charges relate to the alleged possession of paint, paint brushes, a spray can, marker pens and the ultimate tool for criminal damage - tissue paper.
The Warton Four (not to be confused with group 4) have had several trips to Lytham St Anne’s magistrates court to ensure that their case will be heard in the Crown Court. The four are now on bail until a date is set - this won’t be before the end of June, and could quite well be much later in the year.
The case will be heard in Preston. There will be a vigil outside the court whilst the Warton Four attempt to show the jury that British Aerospace are indeed guilty of crimes against humanity, will be sent out to those who have indicated their interest.
