Rio Tinto Stink!

Dozens of sacks of rotting fruit and vegetables were dumped on the steps of mining giant RTZ’s head offices in March. RTZ, who recently celebrated coming first in Survival International’s 'worst of the world's worst companines with respect to indigenous people's rights and the environment', got a taste of their own medicine and some bad press in Bolivia as a result. The action was a symbolic protest in solidarity with the people of Oruro, Bolivia, who are suffering the effects of RTZ’s toxic waste exports to their land.
