York Occupation

Monday 31st January York and Leeds EF!ers and Third World Firsters occupied Midland Bank, York for five hours and had a whale of a time! We gave Midland a list of demands, we didn’t stop business, but had lots of support:
- a guy closing an account very loudly
- juggling kids, sorry with kids, in the foyer

As we left, after the arrival of another box of food, the mention of sleeping bags about 3pm pushed things on a bit - the manager asked if that was it. We said that depended on what will be said at the national Midland/LAMB meeting and this stunned him a bit.
